Rhopalostylis sapida : Pitt Island Nikau

The Pitt Island Nikau is quickly becoming favourite among designers and gardeners alike. Originating from Pitt Island (Chatham Islands), this variety of Nikau adapts incredibly well to our climate. Much faster growing than our mainland natives, this tall, slender palm looks fantastic amid a tropical background . Though very much cold hardy and stronger than other varieties of Nikau, this specimen boasts beautiful dark green upright foliage that truly sets it apart from the rest. Very tidy habit.

A perfect choice as a specimen tree or planted in spacial groups, the Pitt Island Nikau are tolerant of full sun, high wind, cold temperatures & coastal conditions.
